Happy Halloween! A simple way to toast your Pumpkin Seeds!

So first thing you need to do is give your seeds a good wash and get rid of any slimy pumpkin flesh..
 Dry them off in  tea towel..
 im coating mine in a drizzle of Avocado oil & sea salt.. you can use what every
 you like even make them sweet by using honey!
 Place them on your tray spread out as even as you can..
 Pop in a preheated oven at 190 for 10-15 mins!
you can either eat them as they are or some people like to pop them open and eat the seed inside.. i prefer to eat them whole though!

Super easy Home-made Turkey breaded strips!

I thought id make some turkey strips for Alisters packed lunch.. I'm still thinking of new and different ways to give him and healthy yet not so boring lunch options!

These are super simple and are great either hot or cold & can even be frozen!

First things first cut your turkey or chicken in strips.
 Dip in 1-2 beaten eggs
 Roll in plain flour
 Coat in bread crumbs!
 i use the PAXO natural bread crumbs although im going to try the golden next time.
 Pop on a oiled baking tray
 Bake on 180c oven for 15/20 mins or until brown :)
Like i said these will last in the fridge for a good 3/4days and can be frozen!

Bruised old apples and need a use for them?

Dont waste them make apple sauce!
Yes well i had a load of bruised oldish Apples over the weekend that really needed using up!
So i decided to make some yummy homemade Apple sauce!
Its so so simple!!


 Wash and de-core then cut your apples i love to use this apple corer from ikea saves so much time & effort!

 Once done add to a saucepan with a tiny bit of water at the bottom so the apples don't burn..
You can also add a sprinkle of soft brown sugar if you want to sweeten then up.. i don't usually..
Once they are all lovely and soft not mushy though..
 Place them in a blender.. i use the Ninja mini chopper!
 Blitz up until your desired consistency.
 Sterilise a jar by popping it in a preheated oven for 15-20mins
 Fill right to the top
 and thats it! simple homemade yummy apple sauce thats jared and will last a good 6 months - a year some say longer! 
As long as its stored in a cool dry place and not in sunlight.. and also never opened!

Alphabet Biscuits recipe & how to..

I purchased these Alphabet cutter/stampers a few weeks ago and i finally got the opportunity to use them yesterday! heres the link to the cutters http://www.notonthehighstreet.com/theletteroom/product/letter-press-numbers
I do have my own recipe that i usually use for butter biscuits but thought id try out the recipe on the back of the box.. 
1 Cup butter
1 Cup caster sugar
1 egg
1.5tsp baking powder
1tsp vanilla essence
3 cups plain flour

 First of add the sugar & butter to a bowl and cream them together.. my butter looks super duper yellow because its homemade out of raw milk!
 Add the egg & vanilla
 Finally add in the flour & baking powder
 Once its come together tip out onto a floured work surface
 the warmth of your hands will melt the butter and bring it together to form a huge ball of dough. At this point if its too soft pop it in the fridge to firm up for and hour..
Get ready to roll out and cut the dough!
 you want the dough to be as thick as a pound coin
 Start by cutting the dough with whichever letter you've chosen
 I then placed mine on to a floured tray to print the letter on the opposite side of the cutter..

Remember to re-roll your dough to cut as many biscuits out as possible!
this recipe makes a huge batch!
 Pop in a preheated oven at 160c for 15-20 mins until lightly golden brown!

Graze box my thoughts...

So me and Alister received our Graze boxes this morning! Although i have tried graze boxes quite a few times i was excited to see what i got!
I ordered Alister the goody box.. He got a good choice of things actually, ranging from a flapjack which he poetically liked , aswell as some other dried grazing treats! Violet also had a nibble once she was a awake from her nap!


Heres my box i got Olives which is one thing i absolutely love!! also coffee walnut cake was delicious!
ill be saving the other two for over the weekend :)
