Simple & Cheap Turkey pie recipe
We had tons of leftover Turkey i froze a load of it for soups & pies.. I thought id share a super simple & cheap pie recipe!
All you need is:
1-2 cups already cooked turkey (defrosted)
couple of carrots
1 onion
frozen peas
1 chicken or veg stock cube
roll out puff pastry
First thing is to dice your carrots & onions and pop into a frying pan
Measure out 1/2 pint boiling water & add your stock cube
One your veggies are getting soft add in your peas a turkey
Then pour over your stock
Pop the lid on for a about 10 mins to reduce a little
i add a tbs of cornflour just to thicken a little as well as salt & pepper
Flour your surface & rolling pin & roll to the size you need
Im using these little individual ramekins so I'm using them as a guide & cutting round with a sharp knife
Add in your mixture try not to over fill
I scored our Initials on so i knew who's was who's and glazed with an egg wash.
Pop in a preheated oven at 180c for 20mins or until puffed & golden
