Waking up with Belvita! | The Morning Win!

Breakfast is my most favourite meal of the day.. and the most important! No matter how little time we have i always make sure we all have breakfast even if its on the go!

I couldn't wait to give these new scrummy looking breakfast biscuits by Belvita ago, they come in a few new different flavours Hazelnut, chocolate chip and Apricot.

Each pack contains 3 biscuits, each biscuit roughly has 3.3g- 3.9g of sugar, Hazelnut containing the least.

Each biscuit contains a great amount of flavour and as you can see from the pictures there is a good amount of each specific 'flavouring'.
The biscuits smell and taste great and 3 tend to fill me up brilliantly till lunch time.

All the family loved these biscuits not only for breakfast but even as an afternoon snack.
My husband found them so handy to grab and eat while working as usually he wouldn't eat till late.
Me and the children love having a biscuit each in the car on the school run!
This post is an entry for #MorningWin Linky Challenge sponsored by belVita Breakfast.

We all a throughly loved trying the new flavours from Belvita and have recommended them to friends & family!

Back to school One Month on | Thoughts/ Feelings

Alister has been back at school for nearly a month now its actually flown by!
Although its great getting back in to a routine and i we all love having more of our own 'space' this past month has been tough!
Starting with getting back on track with school uniform to wash & iron , making sure we've all eaten and out the door by 8.15am has been the hardest but we've found a way and one again its become the norm.

Alister has loved being in Year 1 so far he hasn't complained too much, i might hear the odd ' I'm tired' or 'i don't war to go to school' once or twice a week mainly at the end, but that is to be expected!
He is rather tired most days and on Fridays usually so exhausted he puts itself to bed before 7pm!

School for Alister has definitely become more challenging and not really any play anymore compared to Reception Class. I personally think it is really quite young for them to be sent home with homework already and for them to already feel pressurised to do so well in class.

Alister doesn't care for writing, he's coming on great with reading, but i think his most enjoyable Lesson is Maths, he seems to be doing so well with sums, he definitely doesn't get that from me though! I hated Math!

I have to admit one pressure that has been taken off me is packing school lunches! You might be aware that children upto 8 Years old (and likely to be extended next year) are entitled to free school meals, I have think this is great, 1 because Alister's school provides great healthy meals which I'm pleased about, although he has a pudding everyday which does bother me slightly! 2 it also saves money and time which is always a good thing. He seems to love having hots dinners which i was worried about. I did tell him next spring/ summer I'm likely to pack him packed lunch though as it will be warmer.

The first month back at school has been great it also gives me a chance to have more one on one with Violet and treasure the weekends with Alister.

Heres a 'proof' school picture that the kids had done together last Monday, Violet was a bit of a madam and really didn't want to smile!
Its crazy comparing Alisters photo from last year he's grown up so much!

Hows your child's first month gone?

Birthday Ideas for a 3 Year Old Girl

So you may be aware Violet is approaching her 3rd birthday.. GULP . I can't even truly believe that my baby is nearly 3! Yes i know its over a month away but i like to be prepared and buy when i see offers!

Anyway i thought id share a few items that I've been eyeing up to buy her or items ive brought, things that she is really truly into at this lovely age.

Violet is obsessed with her babies she has loads! But she doesn't have many accessories, she has one very old stroller which was Alisters! So i found this really lovely set on Toys RUS half price! Comes with a 3 wheeler, highchair, travel cot, baby bouncer & bag! I think she is going to be very excited when she's sees it!http://www.toysrus.co.uk/Toys-R-Us/Toys/Dolls-and-Accessories/Baby-Dolls-and-Accessories/Graco-Room-Full-Of-Fun-Playset(0068714)

Violet loves dressing up but doesn't have many girly outfits so i picked her up this Sophia princess dress, its very cute and looks like it would be easy to get on herself.

Like i mentioned above she loves babies but she doesn't have a 'baby' animal! I picked this cute baby soft interactive monkey from Costco a few weeks back for £12! Ive found it here on Ebay slightly more expensive though. They do have other animals to if you scroll down on the link. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/281428103173?limghlpsr=true&hlpv=2&ops=true&viphx=1&hlpht=true&lpid=108&device=c&adtype=pla&crdt=0&ff3=1&ff11=ICEP3.0.0-L&ff12=67&ff13=80&ff14=108&ff19=0

Ive got Violet a couple new books as you can never have too many! These are a few we have read in Waterstones, and obviously i brought them on Amazon because they are so much cheaper!
A couple of Girly ones by Julia Donaldson we lovely many of her books!

Although I'm totally over Frozen.. i know Violet would love this read & sounds book, i used to love these as a child to! Ive pre-ordered this one.http://www.amazon.co.uk/Disney-Frozen-Play---Sound-Little/dp/1450868193/ref=sr_1_17?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1411068259&sr=1-17

On the night you were born- We haven't read this one but i have read some lovely reviews about it and thought it would be perfect! http://www.amazon.co.uk/Night-You-Were-Born/dp/0312601557/ref=sr_1_46?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1411068470&sr=1-46

PicStick Personalised Photo Magnet Review

Since having the children I've never been able to go anywhere without having my camera or phone with me, i always feel the need to capture pictures of those treasured moments and store them either on my laptop and then usually when i get round to it print them out and put them into picture frames or photo albums.

The one place in the house where i noticed i haven't got any pictures was my fridge! I was thrilled to receive a voucher to design and personalise my own family magnet on the PicStick website!

Making your own magnet was so simple and quick, all you had to do was select and upload your own photos straight from your camera, computer, Facebook or DropBox, you can choose 9 in total and rearrange them as you'd like.

As you can see from the pictures the quality is really good, I'm so impressed! These magnets would be great as gifts popped in a card. You can also keep them as one big photo magnet or tear them up as you please.

The price of the magnets are £9.50 with free worldwide shipping! https://www.picstick.com/login/
Use this discount code WITT25 for 25% off your first order! The shipping was also super speedy and arrived in 2days!

Sunday night pampering essentials | Sept 2014

I love nothing more than to have a pampering evening once a week, its not necessarily likely to happen every week as theres always hiccups that occur which make it impossible!

Its always good though to have a wind down day/ evening when you can though, to really relax and just think..

I thought id share my most recent essentials which help me chill after a long and busy week!

Most baths i use this luxury Honey Mania bath melt from The body Shop. It smells good enough to eat, its lovely and bubbly and makes my skin feel super subtle and smooth. http://www.thebodyshop.co.uk/bath-body-care/shower-gels-shower-creams/honeymania-bubble-bath-melt.aspx

Graham always lights me a candle and sets up the iPad for me so i can catch up on a program in peace!

My current favourite cleanser is still Vichy Normaderm its great for oily/ combo skin!

Ive been using this Exfoliant by MONU. Its an amazing very fine exfoliant i only use it once a week because its rather harsh but effective! -

I like to switch up my shampoo & conditioner every month or so I'm currently using The Body Shop Rainforest Balance S&C these are great for oily hair-
I'm using my Limited Edition Blueberry scented shower Gel and by The Body Shop smells divine! Like i said LE which means no longer available sadly i wish id stocked up!

For my face i pulled out my trusty Seaweed Ionic clay mask by TBS! I've had this a very long time! Its a great mask for those days when your skin is looking awful and you have a few nasty breakouts, you can really feel it tingling!

Lastly i always use a body butter or moisturiser all over my body currently using up The Body Shops LE Blueberry Body Butter! I have to say I've tried most of the scents and there all divine great for all skin types! http://www.thebodyshop.co.uk/bath-body-care/body-butter.aspx#/body-butter.aspx

I also pop on a lip balm as my lips get so dry and dehydrated after a bath! http://www.thebodyshop.co.uk/skincare/lip-care.aspx#/lip-care.aspx

Just before bed i pop on the Vichy Night Detox I've been using this for months, its for oily skin helps control sebum overnight while you sleep! http://www.escentual.com/normaderm03/

How do you like to relax? And what are your favourite pamper products?

Getting your life organised & on track!

I posted a video a good year ago maybe more actually about how i keep my life under wraps and organised!

So i thought i do a little updated blog post on what I'm doing if any changes to help family life run smoothly in our house..

Im all about going back to basics.. hand me a writing pad and pen oh and sticky notes and I'm good to go! I have many different books for different things!

Starting with my general diary.. I request one from Graham every year and it either lives in my hand bag or the desk.
It gets constant use for reminders for different things such as birthdays, play dates, deliveries, outings, after school clubs and so on! If i lost it i would be lost! as my memory is not what it used to be..  'mummy brain' !!

As you maybe aware i spend a lot of my time on YouTube, so to keep me nice an organised i have a jotter book which is left on my desk for inspiration anything that comes in my head i can write it down or video requests.

On to the food side of things to keep me on track with meal planning , grocery shops and switching up our meals on a regular basis.

I have binders/ folders of cut out recipes I've found in magazines , got from the shop or jotted down on a scruffy bit of paper! They are all kept in there 'specific' folder so i can flick through if I'm in need of new ideas.

I always always write my meal plan down in a book to keep so again i can flick back for recent ideas etc! Im a little obsessed with sticky notes, i tend to write my grocery lists on them then stick them to my purse so i won't forgot it!

Lastly i have my chalk board above brought from Sainsburys a few years back, this sits in my kitchen and is a reminder of our meal plan for the week so i know what to get out of the freezer etc!

I hope this has been helpful in some way to get your life a little more organised!
Ill leave the video from last year if you want to see some more organisational tips!

I was lucky enough to be sent Atopalm Moisturiser to review, I have been using it for the last 3/4 weeks and can honestly say i love it!

It a super richy & creamy moisturiser yet dissolves beautifully in the skin in seconds.
This Paraben free cream is for dry to sensitive skin which can be used on quite a variety of skin types, I have normal to combination with a few minor breakouts around my chin area, i have found this soothing cream really help with the odd patchy dry area but also help calm the redness in the lower half of my face. Atopalm is great for people for suffer with allergies, rosacea or other dry sensitive skin types.

Atopalm has quite a neutral herbal scent nothing to powerful or over the top which is great as I'm not one for high perfumed products especially on my face.

Back to school- Tips to make mornings run more smoothly...

School is back on and over the last 6 weeks life has been very chilled and we've not had much of a routine in place, which means we've all been rolling out of bed around 8!

To prepare us for back to school i made sure the week before we all got back into the 'school routine'.
We all started going to bed at our usual reasonable times and also felt generally better getting more sleep which made us all get up just that little bit earlier!

Heres a few tips if you struggling to get back into the swing of things!

Preparation-Getting prepping the night before!

+ Make up the packed lunches and pop them in the fridge overnight thats one less thing to worry about in the morning!

+ Prep breakfasts, pancake batter, overnight oats, or even just lay out the breakfast things all ready for the morning, these things all save time!

+ Lay out the kids clothes ready for the morning, including pants & socks & shoes..

Organisation- Get organised so you don't forget anything!

+ Set an Alarm i have one to get me up although Graham is usually up before me & an alarm 15 mins before i leave just as a reminder to get my butt in gear!

+ If the children are older enough let them help.. either with loading or unloading the dishwasher, helping with the little ones either with dressing or teeth brushing!

+ Have a morning routine, my kids eat breakfast they have a wash and brush teeth then get dressed, then they can do as they please till we leave..

+ Lastly organise the bags, coats, shoes everything you need for the next day buy the door so you won't forget anything!
