School is back on and over the last 6 weeks life has been very chilled and we've not had much of a routine in place, which means we've all been rolling out of bed around 8!
To prepare us for back to school i made sure the week before we all got back into the 'school routine'.
We all started going to bed at our usual reasonable times and also felt generally better getting more sleep which made us all get up just that little bit earlier!
Heres a few tips if you struggling to get back into the swing of things!
Preparation-Getting prepping the night before!
+ Make up the packed lunches and pop them in the fridge overnight thats one less thing to worry about in the morning!
+ Prep breakfasts, pancake batter, overnight oats, or even just lay out the breakfast things all ready for the morning, these things all save time!
+ Lay out the kids clothes ready for the morning, including pants & socks & shoes..
Organisation- Get organised so you don't forget anything!
+ Set an Alarm i have one to get me up although Graham is usually up before me & an alarm 15 mins before i leave just as a reminder to get my butt in gear!
+ If the children are older enough let them help.. either with loading or unloading the dishwasher, helping with the little ones either with dressing or teeth brushing!
+ Have a morning routine, my kids eat breakfast they have a wash and brush teeth then get dressed, then they can do as they please till we leave..
+ Lastly organise the bags, coats, shoes everything you need for the next day buy the door so you won't forget anything!
