We visited Mottisfont in Romsey on Sunday the last day of half term, we thought we'd squeeze in another family day although it was a bit of a grey drizzly day we risked it, wrapped up and headed for a lovely walk together. Mottisfont is part of the National Trust so technically a 'free day out'. It was so great to see the difference the place looked from summer to winter, still so utterly beautiful with tons of snowdrops out.
The kids had fun climbing on the wooden playground however it was rather boggy and a little slippery, Violet ended up falling over on her bottom and had a nice muddy bum for the rest of the day! It was surprisingly quiet even for a Sunday which was nice, they played in the water feature and for the first time we actually had a look round the beautiful Mottisfont House.
We popped to the Coach house cafe for a cup of tea and brownie, the kids opted for ice creams which seemed crazy but it kept them happy! We had a great day and lovely end to the half term!
