Kingston Lacy | Our Family Day 24th July 2016

Hey Everyone i wanted to share another of our family days out using our National Trust passes again. Sunday we ventured further south to Kingston Lacy. A beautiful lavish home where William John Banks lived with his family and servants. The grounds are stunning and the fields go on for miles!

We had a good look around the beautiful home which was decorated to resemble an italian palace, so grand and extravagant. Mr Banks was obsessed with tortoises also so when waling round the home and gardens there were little snippets of tortoises everywhere, There were also tons of paintings to look at some were very out there!

We had a lovely picnic on the grass and soaked up the weather and sun before it turned a little cloudy.
There is a really lovely restaurant on site and lots of seating areas.

We brought coffees and cake from a cute vintage looking van.. i so want one ha!

The kids enjoyed running around the garden.. walking through the forest part and checking out the mini canons. There was an adorable dopey cat just sound asleep the whole time we were there in the flower beds, the kids couldn't stop stroking it!

I love having a look in the little gift shops although the kids couldn't help but touch everything as we walked round!

We had a really lovely day and would recommend checking out Kingston Lacy for a day trip out, lots of people set up chairs and blankets for a full day there with games etc.. definitely something were be doing next time!

Starting off the Summer Holidays 20th July 2016

We've officially got no school starting from tomorrow woohoo.. I can't tell you how happy i am not to do the school run for the next 6 weeks! Im sure i'll eat my words in a few days when the kids decide to play me up.. however as of now I'm so happy to have both my beautiful children at home with me.

The weather has been absolutely beautiful the last few days, you could say a tad too hot, although i don't want to complain about it since the sun really puts me in such a good mood and the kiddies enjoy playing outside in the pool, it make entertaining the kids a doddle when the weather is dry!

So whats all your plans for summer? We have a few things tucked up our sleeves .. from a coulpe of trips out.. one being to watch the BFG in the cinema which I'm sooo excited about. We also have planned a couple of family days at local National Trust parks.

My definite plan for over summer is to get outside a lot with the children but without spending much money, exploring the new forest, and country parks, taking picnics.

We also have our family holiday coming up which we booked back in January!!! Time has flown by though and now we have under a month till we head off to ITALY!!

We are going on a 'fly cruise' Jetting off to La Palme Spain and hopping on our cruise from there and travelling around beautiful Italy.. docking a few days at some amazing places, such a Sicily and Sorrento to name a couple. I honestly can not wait to see the children's faces when we arrive.. they haven't even been on a plane before so this is definitely a holiday of all new experiences!

I really hope you all have a fabulous summer come rain or shine.. Im still enjoying filming my weekly Vlogs and really hope your like them to.. so hopefully those will keep you updated on what we get up to. As to be honest i do find it tough getting on her and writing down my thoughts somedays.. theres just not enough others in the day i tell you!

REVIEW | Marley Spoon BBQ Box

We have recently received a lovely fresh box of goodies from Marley Spoon.
Box subscription services are everywhere at the moment we can practically get everything delivered to our door at the click of a button!

Marley and Spoon offer a meal subscription service you can go on to their own website which is very easy to use and choose haw many meals and what recipes you'd like to try from their list.

We received the BBQ 2 person box.. which came with a two meals, one Mini sausages with baked potatoes and Sauerkraut. The other was Lemon baked Trout with Borlotti Bean Salad and Baguette.

The box contains everything you need and sourced from local producers, everything is very fresh and labelled so you definitely can't get confused. I love the meal plan sheets with the step by step guide of  how to cook the food and even pictures so you know how the meal should look once cooked!

With choosing your recipes online you can make them aware of any allergies and choose specific recipes to suit you and your family. The boxes can cater for up to a family of four.
The recipe sheet also contains the calories so handy if your calorie counting.

As you can see from the picture above there is all the specific ingredients in one bag and the right amount of quantities for cooking your meal which makes it super easy when preparing your meal.

The Bratwurst German sausages were really good, there was plenty to go round and they were full of flavour. The baked potatoes cooked in no time, they were simple yet delicious! For me and my husband it was the first time for us trying Sauerkraut, it definitely has quite a distinctive taste but with the other ingredients added, especially the apple it was really nice.
We really enjoyed this meal.

Again with this recipe we had everything we needed to prepare the meal, it was a very speedy one which was good as we we've very hungry!
The trout fillets were the perfect size lovely fresh and bright in colour and tasted amazing especially with the lemony hit. I actually slightly overcooked the baguette still tasted nice though and the Borlotti beans with the home-made dressing was very nice, very refreshing adding the veggies together its not a combination I've tried before but it worked well.

All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our Marley Spoon Box, would highly recommend if your looking to try some new and exciting recipes.

If you'd like to give the Marley Spoon box a try heres a discount code WittFamily to use at checkout for £15 off your first order!

Corfe Castle | Our Family Day 10th July 2016

Hey everyone we've recently jointed the National Trust, as a family we love going on adventures and exploring the outdoors. It made sense to finally get a National Trust pass to give us more options and it was a lot cheaper than i expected!

Sunday 10th we ventured to Corfe Castle a place which has been on my 'bucket list' for ages.
We were so lucky with the weather, although it poured down in the morning.. as we travelled to Corfe the sun was beaming.

I wanted to share a huge load of photos me and Graham took while at the castle and surrounding areas. Corfe Castle is such a beautiful place and little village!
The kids really enjoyed themselves exploring the castle, Alister was really into asking questions and finding out lots of interesting information.

Corfe Castle is situated around a cute little village, lots of surrounding Pubs and Tea rooms, a steam train which sadly we didn't have time for, however we will be back!
They have a lovely little sweet shop and museums as well as some gorgeous quant cottages to look at!

Now for the pic heavy bit..

They had an activity for the kids to chill out while waling around the castle!
